Ingredients:

  • Celery—thoroughly washed and trimmed.

  • Peanut Butter—Creamy or crunchy—whichever’s your favorite.

  • Pretzel Twists—Broken in half to look like cute little reindeer antlers.

  • M&Ms—A red M&M for Rudolph’s nose and brown for the rest of Santa’s reindeer. Green and red jelly beans would work as well.

  • Candy Eyes—can be picked up in the baking aisle near the sprinkles in most grocery stores. Chocolate chips are a great alternative if you can’t get your hands on any edible eyes.

Steps:

Step 1: Chop the celery stalks into 3–4-inch sticks.

Step 2: Fill each celery stick with a generous amount of peanut butter.

Step 3: Place two candy eyes next to each other near the center of each celery stick.

Step 4: Break pretzels in half and place the two halves on top of each celery stick. This will represent the reindeer’s antlers.

Step 5: Press an M&M into the peanut butter at the bottom of each celery stick—one red for Rudolph and seven brown for Santa’s other reindeer.

Tips:

  • If you choose to use natural peanut butter, you’ll find that it will be a little on the runny side. To help keep things from getting too messy, you can pop your celery reindeer snacks into the fridge for 20 minutes before adding the candy eyes, pretzels, and M&Ms.

  • Don’t worry about breaking your pretzel twists perfectly in half. Lopsided pretzels will still give these reindeer peanut butter snacks a cute “antler” effect.

  • If you’re frustrated that your toppings keep falling off your stalks of celery, you can use a little extra peanut butter as “glue”.
